Arusha National Park is a compact park on the slopes of Mount Meru, about 45 minutes from Arusha town. It offers forest with black-and-white colobus monkeys, the Momella lakes, giraffe on open grassland and the option of a walking safari with an armed ranger, which makes it ideal for a day trip or the first or last day of a safari.
